Tiernan is another pound lurcher, who arrived emaciated and full of worms that took over 3 weeks to get out of his system.
Tiernan is an approximately three‑year‑old male currently thriving in foster care, where he has proven himself to be a calm, gentle and well‑mannered companion. He walks exceptionally well on the lead, remaining by your side with an ease that makes him a pleasure to take anywhere. Both indoors and outdoors, Tiernan maintains a relaxed and steady temperament, settling quickly and behaving with quiet confidence. He is fully toilet trained and sleeps through the night without any accidents, demonstrating excellent house manners. Tiernan is in the process of crate training. While he can be a little stubborn about going into the crate initially, once inside he settles calmly and rests without issue. He is friendly and welcoming towards all dogs and humans he meets, displaying a naturally sociable and affectionate nature. Tiernan does, however, enjoy being the centre of attention and forms strong bonds with his people. He would happily follow his foster carer around all day if allowed. Because of this, he may be best suited either as the only dog in the home or with resident dogs who are confident, easy‑going and comfortable sharing attention. Overall, Tiernan is a loving, loyal and steady dog who will make a wonderful companion for a household that can appreciate his affectionate personality and enjoy his constant, gentle presence. He is ready to bring warmth, companionship and a touch of charm to the right home. Tiernan is fully vaccinated inc Kennel Cough, Chipped and Neutered. Home visit and adoption fee apply, a secure garden is required. Please note we are in North Cork and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet the dog.
