Description

Are you looking for a gentle, loving companion to share your life?

Meet Skylar, a beautiful ex-racing greyhound turning 3 this September! At 25 inches to the shoulder, Skylar is a stunning, lively, and friendly girl who is fully ready to transition into retirement. Once she gets her daily walk, she is the ultimate couch potato and will happily snooze away the day in her bed. Skylar thrives in peaceful environments, so busy city streets are too overwhelming for her sensitive soul. New places can scare her at first, meaning she needs a patient owner to provide gentle guidance. Once she knows she’s safe, her confident, happy personality truly shines. She gets along great with dogs her own size, but due to her racing background, she is strictly NOT cat or small-dog friendly. She has excellent manners, walks beautifully on the lead, and is incredibly clean in her kennel. Skylar recently had a limp, and X-rays showed stretched tendons from her past career. She is currently resting up and may need some physio down the line to keep her in tip-top shape. She comes fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.A secure, enclosed garden is a must for her safety. A home visit and adoption fee apply. We are based in North Cork, and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet Skylar in person. Could you be the guidance Skylar needs to start her next chapter? 🌟. When somewhere new she could initially be a little bit frightened and would need someone to give her guidance, once she knows she will he fine then all will be well. She is not cat friendly or smaller dog friendly from what’s been seen so far but gets on with dogs her own size. She would be better in a quieter more rural area. Skylar is clean in her kennel almost always. She is also good on the lead but sometimes can be a little bit alert but nothing bad whatsoever. A lively and friendly girl and once she’s been out for her exercise /walk she’s quite happy to rest in her bed. Skylar had x rays carried out by us as was limping, vets said she has stretched tendons which is more than likely from her previous life. We were advised to rest her but in time she may need physio. Skylar is fully vaccinated inc Kennel Cough, chipped and spayed. Home visit and adoption fee apply, a secure garden is required. Please note we are in North Cork and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet the dog.
