Description

Kola is from Carlow Kilkenny Dog Pound. He spent 6 weeks there waiting for a home, but no one came forward to offer him a home.

Kola is 26.5 inches high and just over a year old. He is still learning the basics like toilet & lead training, he is very clever and is picking everything up quickly. Kola is friendly with people and loves to get attention. He is good with dogs but he can be a little defensive when he first meets them, time to be introduced slowly will be needed. Kris (smaller lurcher boy) is his buddy and he goes loose with him for zooms and they get along great. Kola would be suited to living with mid to large size dogs only as he has shown reactivity to small dogs and cats. I do think he would prefer to live with another dog but it’s also not essential if someone is home a lot. Kola will need daily exercise and once he gets his zooms he does relax but he is always eager to go out first on his walks. He’s not high energy but being young he needs to be kept busy and stimulated with toys & walks. We believe Kola lived with young children previously, its just a family must be mindfull he has all the puppy traits at the moment. Kola is fully vaccinated inc Kennel Cough, chipped and Neutered. Home visit and adoption fee apply, a secure garden is required. Please note we are in North Cork and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet the dog.
