She appears to have spent much of it being used for breeding, bringing litter after litter into the world, without ever knowing what it truly means to be someone’s cherished companion. While we can’t change her past, we can make sure it doesn’t define her future. Now it’s Doris’s turn. It’s her turn to have a cosy bed that belongs just to her. To enjoy walks for fun, not because she has to. To receive cuddles simply because she’s loved. To be spoiled with treats, toys and kindness. To finally experience life as a family pet—the way it always should have been. Doris deserves so much more than the life she has known. She deserves to be loved for who she is, not for what she could provide.
