Remy Roo, oh we do love you🫶🏼🐾💗 Remy is available for adoption Remy is a magnificent German shepherd who is approximately 18-24 months old. She came into our care via the pound so we’ve no history on her bar what we’ve learned from having her in our family home for the last two weeks. Remy is simply PHENOMENAL, she is such a great example of the breed. We all adore the bones off her and everyone who meets her feels the same. Remy is a big people person, she loves everyone and will jump up and give you a big kiss, if you ask for it or not😆 She brings intelligence, cuteness, sass and cheeky attitude to the table. Remy is super clever, she really has so much potential to develop and learn more from her owners. All her basics are there, she’s highly motivated by food and toys and wants to please her people. She loves nothing more than carrying around an object in her mouth, sometimes it’s a dog toy, sometimes I could be your shoe… so if your loosing a shoe my advice is to check out the back because she’s likely nicked it. Now she doesn’t chew or shred them, she simply just likes a wee job to do and has done a fabulous job at rearranging things and making me question my sanity. She walks well on the lead. Not many dogs am I happy to use a flexi lead with because it’s not the right tool to help dogs loose lead walk but Remy can loose lead walk, and the flexi lead we have been using to give her more freedom and work on recall. She isn’t reactive either so it’s worked well for us with Remy, it doesn’t suit every dog we have. Remy is house trained and she sleeps in the living room at night. She is quite content to be left for a few hours on her own, no longer than 4 hours. So would suit a home with overlapping shifts or someone mainly at home, or someone who would have a dog walker come in and take her out. She would thrive in a moderately active to active household. Minimally a 2.5 mile walk daily would suit her best and she is quite happy to lay on the sofa and chill out. Of course she’d be happy to carry on walking, she would make a great hiking partner. She is a super clever girl and would do great with mental enrichment. She travels well in the care again making her a great travel companion. She needs to be an only dog, she could live with dog savvy children 10+ as she does jump and can knock little ones over. She cannot live with cats. Breed experience is always preferred but large breed experience will be accepted. She must have a fully enclosed garden with 6ft high fencing. All in all Remy really has stolen the hearts of us all here at the rescue with her funny antics and just her magnificent looks. She really now deserves a family to call her own and adore her as much as we all do here. If you think Remy is the girl of your dreams please apply via the link below 👇🏻
