Shy cat is looking for home together with her bestie

Adopt a shy cat. For adoption Millie and Basket. Two Calico girls. About 5 years old, neutered , vaccinated, parasite treated. They both came to our rescue in 2022. Millie appeared in someone's garden in rural area with her four 4 months old kittens and people didn't want them there as had a dog. So we helped cat family. Basket came very pregnant as a farm cat. She raised her 6 kittens and was friendly enough with foster mum but once maternity hormones were gone she became very shy. Two of them are best friends and have special friendship dance. Millie's is a big cat for a female and will hiss at you if she is not sure what's going on. Basket is petite and shy, she prefers to hide. They won't be the lap cats but both have a good potential. Millie likes bum scratches and can handle some petting. Basket loves other cats and sometimes looks like she is the mama of some cats she likes to look after them. Very sweet natured. She will talk to you but prefers stay on a distance . Life in rescue is not what makes them relaxed since so many cats and kittens coming and going and there is not enough time for volunteers to communicate with each cat. We are looking for quiet adults only or with older kids home. Understanding, willing to give girls time to settle. They need to go together as it will be easier for them to adjust to new place knowing they have each other.
