Beautiful cocker spaniel seeking his forever home.
Buttons is a lovely, active and friendly boy seeking his forever home.
Buttons was adopted from us a few years ago, but was recently returned back to our care after a biting incident involving a child on new years eve night.
Since coming back into our care we quickly noticed that Buttons blind eye was deflated and after a vet consult they believe it was causing him great pain. So he had an operation and got the bad eye removed, he is now recovering very well.. We believe that the pain associated with the eye may have played a part in him snapping at and biting the child, But offcourse we cannot say for sure. His family had no prior issues with Buttons and his behaviour and we have had no issues with him either since joining our care. For obvious reasons Buttons is now seeking an adult only home, with no visiting kids or in a home who will keep him seperate from any visiting kids as its not fair to put a child or buttons in a situation that this could happen again.
Buttons is good with other dogs of all sizes, and could live with another dog pending meet and greet. He is currently happily sharing our home with a german shepherd and a few small dogs. He would also be more than happy to be the only dog in the home also.
Buttons walks well on the lead, knows some basic commands and is also house trained. He loves going for walks and playing with toys, but most of all he loves playing fetch and would play all day if you let him. Buttons will require a home with a secure garden.
He is generally ok on his own, but can cry if he is left alone for extended periods of time. But hasnt shown any destructive behaviours. He is a lovely boy who just needs a second chance in a forever home.
We are more than happy to discuss him and any concerns further :)
