Leeroy is a very sensitive boy, seeking a forever home.
Leeroy was recently surrendered to rescue, due to the landlord no longer allowing pets.
He was raised in a home with kids and he loved them. Since coming to rescue he has offcourse found it quite overwhelming, but he is starting to show his personality more each day. He is still quite shy with people, he has just lost his family so it will just take him some time to adjust. But his confidence is growing daily.
He is generally good with other dogs, he mixes with a range of dogs here, big and small. So he could live with another dog pending a meet and greet, but also happy being the only dog aslong as he has some human company around most of the time. He can occassionally find certain dogs overwelming, and does seem to prefer females and neutered males more. Intact males he sometimes gets on ok, sometimes they dont.
Leeroy can get upset when left alone, so would need someone home most of the time to build up his leaving times slowly. But if you have another dog, this might help also. He has had previous house training, but might need a little refreshing in a new home and routine. However in rescue he is so far quite a clean boy in the kennels. He does have some crate training.
Leeroy is 30kg, so he is a strong boy. So when walking he can pull, but does calm down once he gets going. He has been used to living in a rural location, so everything will be new to him and he will just need time to grow in confidence. He is still very much a big pup.
