Bella is a special girl who needs a suitable home.
Bella is a beautiful little Cocker spaniel x Retriever who needs a suitable adult only home. She isnt suitable around kids, so needs a home with no kids and if any kids are visiting she would need to be kept seperately. She is crate trained, so could be placed in a crate in a seperate room.
Bella is ok with other dogs on walks and can share her play area with other dogs no problem, but she would like to be the only dog in the home as she much prefers her own space. She likes playing with her toys and would play fetch all day if you let her. She is also happy to content herself running around with a toy in her mouth or watching the birds. She does walk ok on the lead in quiet and rural areas, but in busier areas she has a tendancy to pull towards fast moving objects such as cars, cyclists etc. Aslong as she gets her needs met through excercise or brain games she is a happy girl. If she doesnt and she gets bored, she can start staring at shadows/reflections due to boredom. She is used to sleeping a crate at night time. She did have a nipping/biting incident in her previous home when they tried to pick her out of the carboot while she was sleeping, so its believed she may have some sleep startle. We have had no aggression from her during her time with us, she is very food and toy orientated which makes training easier. She is a good girl who just needs a suitable forever home.
Before coming into our care, Bella did suffer from ongoing tummy issues. Tests were done and it was discovered she had been dealing with an ongoing parasite infection which required special medication to treat. She has now completed two courses of this medication to make sure all the bugs are dead. But as a result of the years without treatment, she has been left with a sensitive tummy and can have flair ups of soft stool at times.
