Description

Ben is a beautiful ex racing greyhound, who would love his forever home. Full of love and snoozes on the sofa/bed.

Ben is a very special boy, when he first came into rescue he weighed only 22kg, he now weighs well over 30kgs :) He is an ex racing greyhound. He does have hypothyroidism, which meant that he lost alot of hair, but he is now doing much better and his shiny coat is starting to grow back in. He does require a tablet twice a day for his thyroid, these will likely be life long but they are not expensive at all. Ben is good with other dogs and could live with another dog pending meet and greet. In general he is a very gentle and loving boy, who loves nothing more than leaning his head on you for strokes. He could live with kids 8yrs and over. He cannot live with cats. Ben recently was rehomed and spent a week in the home, during this time they said he was very clean and settled in the house, he loved playing with his toys and following his humans around. He was returned through no fault of his own. The family felt it was unfair leaving him for hours whilst they went to work. But Ben is ok on his own, he wasnt destructive or anything. He just craves human attention and is happy to spend his days relaxing, but will check in on his humans from time to time. The family just felt with such an affectionate boy, that he would be better in a home with someone who doesnt have such long working hours, so that he can have more company.
