Romeo has been returned to us after being in a home for 4 months. He was returned as he has sleep startle, the young child in the home would not let him sleep.e
Romeo is 25 inches high and is just a gentleman. He is very easy to look after, loves his walks and zooms and after that he’s asleep for most of the day. He’s a very relaxed and calm boy, he could live with another dog or be on his own. He’s been loose with both male and female large dogs and does enjoy a game. Sighthounds do suffer from sleep startle, we advise everyone about this; they must make sure a dog is awake before they rub or sit suddenly beside them. Usually, calling out the dog's name a few times prior usually wakes them up.
His family sent us this information about him, and they are very upset it has come to this. It is not Romeos fault that he bit the young child who woke him.
As I said I couldn't emphasise enough what a fabulous dog Romeo is . He is sweet and gentle and just loves affection and being part of the family. He is so easy to have around..he's not a bit demanding. Just loves playing ball and pottering around the garden . Romeo loves his daily walk, he's happy out with even 30 or so mins, we then we throw the ball for a few mins after in the garden and he's happy out. Romeo is very quiet and I've only ever known him to bark at birds!! He is great on the lead and might pull a bit if he gets a smell but if I tell him to stop he will. He's fantastic with other dogs. He never met a dog he didn't like.
Romeo is fully vaccinated inc Kennel Cough, chipped and Neutered.
Home visit and adoption fee apply, secure garden is required.
Please note we are in North Cork and adopters must be willing to travel to our kennels to meet the dogs and if applicable bring their own dog with them.
