Lexi is a 6–7-year-old Labrador Retriever who is looking for a new home due to changes in her owner’s health, which mean her physical and training needs can no longer be met.
Lexi is a high-energy, working-type Labrador who has not slowed down with age. She loves being outdoors and will happily play fetch for hours. She thrives on activity, routine, and daily mental and physical outlets.
🏃♀️ What Lexi Is Like:
• Very active and driven, especially when retrieving
• Loves fetch, long walks, hiking and swimming
• Affectionate and playful with her people
• Grew up with children and other dogs
• Intelligent and responsive to training, particularly game-based training
⚠️ Important to Know:
Lexi needs an experienced, confident home that understands high-energy dogs and can provide consistent training and structure.
• Strong on the lead and pulls
• Can become over-focused on retrieving
• Has poor spatial awareness when excited (tail, lead, body positioning)
• Can be protective on walks and has snapped at strangers or dogs, but has never bitten
• Escapes from gardens — a secure, escape-proof setup is essential
Because of her strength and energy levels, Lexi would not be suitable for a home with small children.
🐶 Other Animals:
• Has lived with other dogs
• Has been gentle with chickens and livestock
• No known bite history
🏡 Lexi’s Ideal Home:
• Active, adult-only or older-teen household
• Secure garden in a rural or semi-rural setting
• Someone physically capable of managing a strong dog
• Commitment to daily exercise and ongoing training
• Experience with Labradors or working breeds strongly preferred

• Microchipped
• Vaccinated
Lexi is not a low-maintenance dog. She needs space, structure, and an outlet for her energy. In the right home, she will be a loyal, fun-loving and devoted companion.
