Rowan is a young, affectionate, and people-loving boy with a heart full of love—and he’s looking for someone to help him truly shine. He’s not just a dog; he’s a companion who thrives on connection, routine, and the comfort of knowing he belongs.
Rowan’s start in life hasn’t been easy. Rescued from the pound underweight and malnourished, he’s now a sweet, sensitive boy who adores people and wants nothing more than to be part of a family. His trust is precious, and once earned, it’s lifelong.

Loves toys, welcomes visitors with enthusiasm, and has never shown aggression
Settles well at home, sleeps through the night, and can be left alone for short periods once exercised
Thrives on routine and structure, and responds beautifully when his needs are met
🐕 A Boy Full of Energy (and Excitement!)
Rowan is still young, so he has plenty of energy and curiosity. He loves people and other dogs—but he needs guidance on walks, as he gets over-excited and pulls on the lead. With patience and consistency, he will learn and improve.
❤️ Special Needs, Special Heart
Rowan has been diagnosed with OCD (osteochondritis dissecans) and is currently receiving pain relief. His leg discomfort makes training slower, but with ongoing care and support, he can experience all the joys of a happy, healthy dog life.
Rowan is looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home that can provide:
✔ Patience, love, and understanding of his medical and training needs
✔ Routine, structure, and gradual training
✔ No small children (due to size, strength, and excitability)
✔ Optional: a calm adult dog for companionship
He’s not a “plug-and-play” pup—but for the right person, Rowan offers endless loyalty, affection, and the chance to watch him grow into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be.
📍 We need a long-term foster or foster-to-adopt home for Rowan. Full support from the rescue will be provided.
