Bonnie is searching for her happily ever after. Originally found passed out on the road, her leg broken after being hit by a vehicle. Her next chapter awaits
Meet Bonnie – A Real-Life Fairy Tale in the Making** 🐾✨
Bonnie is a stunning 1–2-year-old Saluki with a heart just as beautiful as her soulful eyes. Her journey hasn't been an easy one, but this gentle girl hasn’t let hardship dim her light.
We were contacted by a kind-hearted passerby who found Bonnie lying motionless on the road—hit by a car and left with a broken leg. She was rushed straight to the vet, where X-rays confirmed the worst: her leg was fractured and would need surgery. After a few days of rest and recovery to regain her strength, Bonnie underwent an operation where a plate was inserted to help her heal.
Thanks to crate rest, antibiotics, and regular vet checkups, Bonnie is slowly but surely finding her feet again. She still walks with a slight limp, but we’re hopeful that with time, it will continue to improve—especially now that she's getting some off-lead time to strengthen her leg.
Despite everything she’s been through, Bonnie is a shining light. She adores people (especially kids!) but can be scared of men at first, gets along wonderfully with small dogs, and lives for couch snuggles or curling up in her cozy bed. Just don’t be surprised if you find a few “treasures” she’s collected—Bonnie has a cheeky side and loves to hide away random bits in her bed!
Bonnie walks well on a harness, though she can be a bit excitable at first. After being on restricted rest for so long, she’s eager to stretch those long legs and enjoy life. One thing to note: she’s not a fan of cats.
Now all Bonnie needs is her happy ending—a loving home to call her own, where she can be spoiled, safe, and cherished for the sweetheart she is.
