BONNIES APPEAL One of the worst things that can happen to a rescue dog is when it comes back into rescue, thankfully it doesn’t happen to often but when it does it breaks our hearts 💔 This is Bonnie, she first arrived in our care as part of a litter of pups in 2022 and unfortunately in the last few months her dad passed away. Shortly after that just days before she was due to come back she was hit by a car and had to have extensive surgery on her leg which thankfully she has recovered well from and her family seen her through all her medical needs before coming back. She has had a rough old time. This is what Bonnie’s foster mum has to say about her ⬇️ Bonnie is doing well and has settled nicely into the house now but is unsure in new or strange situations. She definitely needs a very secure garden or yard as if there’s a way out she’ll find it. I think she’d be a great family dog but would be better with no very young children as she’ll be nervy in any new home to begin with. But she likes playing and running and has shown interest in balls and tuggy toys. She seems fine with dog savvy cats and could live with other dogs so long as they’re patient as she’s a bit grumbly if they come into her space too soon. She’ll need someone who’s willing her to give her time to settle and come out of herself and someone who’s willing to work on her recall and socialisation in new places. She’s not noisy or reactive but is timid. She follows her nose (and her stomach!) everywhere lol. She’s fully house trained and walks well on the lead. She can be left for good periods of time without worry, she just sleeps. She loves the car. She will let you know very loudly when you have post or a delivery!! Or if someone comes too close to your car when you’re not in it, she’s got a typical big deep hound bark 🤣 She is a sweet girl and will make a fabulous pet 🐾 Please SHARE or click the link below to apply for Bonnie ⬇️
